Managed rather than sealed. Foundations of that period were built to carry load, not to exclude moisture, and no damp-proofing layer exists. Controlling surface water and keeping the perimeter drained accomplishes far more than treating the inside face of the wall.
The house next door has been empty for years. Does that affect me?
