Mold Removal & Remediation in Schenectady, NY
Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment remove mold colonies at the source and stop cross-contamination through the rest of the home. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.
Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

Frequently asked questions
The Stockade is the oldest ground. Is that an advantage in a flood?
It is the reason the town is here, and it is the wettest ground in town. The bend that made a port is the bend that jams. Ice piles at the Stockade and holds the Mohawk against cellars that were built to the river on purpose. Age is not elevation. Here it is the opposite.
July is the wettest month. Why talk about January ice?
Because the gauge records rain, and the Stockade fails on jams. July cells wet Hamilton Hill from above. January jams wet the Stockade from the channel. A city with one wettest month can still have two seasons of basement water, and they are not the same job.
A GE Plot house on the terrace. Is the river still the problem?
Not as flood. As the terrace seep, yes — water that entered the slope above Vale is still arriving at the uphill wall after a July cell. The Plot was built to be above the Mohawk. It was not built to drain the hill.
